| With the season just a few months away, I am starting to get in shape, I hate having to stop several times because I am winded on my way to the stand. I also start getting my eyes and brain back in shape as I walk looking around and trying to pick things up.

just realized I was getting in shape without thinking about it, instead of riding a mower when you do the yard, try using a push mower. Great way to use your legs and arms.

here's an idea and we used to do this in the marines. battle load hikes but not that extensive. when you are scouting bring a bag with your regular hunting gear. Last year i had a tree stand, my backpack, and three bags of apples. Lots of places to go to but i didn't want to keep going back and forth to the car since it's about a half mile walk.
